A small change on Main Street in North Woodstock makes it easier for a mixed group to agree on where to go after a day in the mountains. Twin Barns Brewing Co.'s North Taproom now offers a selection of wines from Seven Birches Winery, just down the road in Lincoln.
What changed
The New Hampshire Union Leader's New Business column reported on October 23, 2026 that the taproom can now pour Seven Birches wines after the New Hampshire Liquor Commission issued it a beverage/wine manufacturer guest tap license.
The selection will rotate. Quoting the taproom's Facebook announcement, the Union Leader reported: "Varieties will change so be sure to ask your bartender what is currently available."
About Twin Barns North Taproom
Twin Barns Brewing Company is based in Meredith, where its brewpub sits in an antique barn dating to the 1850s, near Lake Winnipesaukee, according to the brewery's website. Founders Dave Picarillo and Bruce Walton found the barn during a brewery tour in 2017; it turned out to be two barns joined together, which gave the company its name.
The North Taproom is the brewery's second location, at 99 Main Street in North Woodstock. Its listed hours are:
- Monday and Tuesday: closed
- Wednesday to Saturday: 11:30 AM to 9 PM
- Sunday: 11:30 AM to 7 PM
You can reach the taproom at (603) 745-7068.
About Seven Birches Winery
Seven Birches Winery is inside RiverWalk Resort at Loon Mountain, at 22 South Mountain Drive in Lincoln. According to the winery's website, it began in 2010 at Windy Ridge Orchard and moved to RiverWalk Resort in 2016. It has grown into a 10,000-square-foot production and hospitality facility where it makes Seven Birches wines and Rhythm Ciders.
The winery says it handcrafts classic European grape varietals and locally sourced fruits into its wines, and that everything is made from whole fruit, fermented, aged and bottled on site in the White Mountains.
If a glass at Twin Barns makes you curious, the winery itself is worth a visit:
- Discovery center. The tasting room, where you can sample from the wine menu, create your own cocktail or play a game with the family. The winery says staff are there daily.
- Cellar Exploration. On Wednesdays and Saturdays, winemakers lead guests behind the scenes, from fruit to finished wine, through fermentation, aging, blending and bottling.
- Rhythm Tap and Grille. The winery's former Rhythm Studio has become Rhythm Tap and Grille.
You can call Seven Birches at (603) 745-7550.
A Lincoln and North Woodstock afternoon
With both businesses in neighboring towns, it is easy to pair them. A Wednesday or Saturday works well, since that is when Seven Birches runs its Cellar Exploration and the North Taproom is open from late morning. Start with a cellar tour in Lincoln, then head to Main Street in North Woodstock for a beer, a glass of wine, or one of each. Check both businesses' current schedules before you go, and plan a designated driver.
